Rudy the Rectangle

Rudy the Rectangle for my 3 yr. old son! (But actually a square, as he pointed out to me... lol)
Crocheted from a free pattern from Lion Brand Yarn Co.

Would've been nice of me to at least had made him out of some of their "Lion Brand" yarn... But no, I didn't. I just used their pattern and bought other yarn. So kind of me, not!

Goodies For The Shop!

Here's a sneak peak of what I've been working on. I plan on selling the cuffs separately from the roses in multiple colors for you to customize yourself! Pick the rose, pick the cuff, I'll sew it together for you! :)

Also too, I've made just the center of the cuff motif for your crafting/embellishing pleasure! I will be listing these as supplies for scrapbooking, jewelry-making, etc. etc. etc. Do you like them?? :)

What On Earth?

What on earth have I been up to? No good, as usual! lol! Aside from that though, my hubby, son and I took a "mini" trip up to Carlsbad Flower Fields yesterday where we sniffed a million flowers, shot a hundred pictures, and killed a hundred minutes waiting for help to come as we sat in our car with a dead battery! (LATE last night, I might add...) So, it was an adventure! :)

We did the "Sweet Pea Maze" where my little guy lead the way, humming like a little lark as happy as could be! We then walked through a big portion of the fields which felt like an eternity of flowers! We saw and did everything there, except for the tractor ride... We got our $10 per person's worth out of the place! They've caught on to this "tourism" thing, that's for sure! I don't think ANYTHING is free there, paid for each little thing, and nothing was really cheap either! If we three paid for admission AND the 20-min. tractor/wagon ride we would have spent $38 to start, just for looking at their flowers! Eek! So that part I didn't go for anyway... Otherwise we made a great long day out of it! :) Jay got to slide in their kids playground and mine for gem stones and run through a maze, so he was happy; therefore WE were happy. :) That is, until our car battery died... It was late after 10:30pm and I was getting sick on the way home due to bumpy freeway road conditions and an overstuffed stomach from dinner, so we pulled over for a minute or two. Then I asked for my husband to turn the car off due to the vibrations in my head and stomach, that's where I went wrong... As I got to feeling better, naturally my hubby tried to start the car to get back on the road for home. Uh-oh... So, long story short: The long day in Carlsbad was just about to get longer... Let's just sum it all up by saying: Our bed felt pretty darn good last night! :):) :)

Better Late Than Never?

Ok, now that Spring has sprung and my local yarn shop has had their "Winter's End Sale", what do I decide to make to sell?
WHY... WOOL SOCKS OF COURSE!!

Durr! Oh yea, these are gonna sell like hot-cakes now! It's 60 degrees outside and it's midnight here in Sunny San Diego and I'm attempting to sell the impossible...

These are for a toddler. Not MY toddler though, mind you. He's 3 1/2, size 7-8 and too big for these. They will look much better on some cold little piggies around a size 5 I'm guessing. I still need to figure that part out for posting in the shop.

So, if you know any one who likes to keep their kids in wool socks year-round, my shop's the place they'll want to be! (Shakes head, smirks, and rolls eyes in disbelief of herself)

The Hat

Ok, so here's my newest addition to the shop: Diamond Swirl Hat in Snow White! I hated making this thing at first, but then as I went along, it became addicting... So, I made another! It's in a pretty Coral color, but pics and shop updates for that one coming later...

So my son always wants to be apart of my product photo shoots of course:

Which is fine with me since I look terrible in beanie hats and wasn't about to pose for this one! :)

If you can think of another color you'd like to see this hat in, let me know! I'd like to try making another one anyway, you'd just give me a very good reason to head to the yarn shop! :) Something I'd jump at the chance to do! Lol! :)
